How to prepare it step by step?
Preparation
- In a pot, heat the milk until it boils. Separately, in a frying pan, brown the Iberian ham very lightly.
- In a bowl, mix the flour with the ham and cheese, adding salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the hot milk in the form of a rain shower to the flour, ham and cheese mixture, stirring constantly until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
- Let the dough chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Form the cold dough into balls and dip them in the beaten egg, followed by the breadcrumbs.
- Fry the croquettes in hot oil until golden and crispy.
- Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
