How to prepare it step by step?

Preparation

  1. In a pot, heat the milk until it boils. Separately, in a frying pan, brown the Iberian ham very lightly.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour with the ham and cheese, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Add the hot milk in the form of a rain shower to the flour, ham and cheese mixture, stirring constantly until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  4. Let the dough chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  5. Form the cold dough into balls and dip them in the beaten egg, followed by the breadcrumbs.
  6. Fry the croquettes in hot oil until golden and crispy.
  7. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
