- For the chocolate sauce: 200 g semisweet chocolate, 250 ml milk, 1/960 ml sugar, 5 ml vanilla extract
How to prepare it step by step?
Preparation
- Heat the water, butter, salt, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts.
- Remove from the heat and add the flour all at once, mixing quickly until a soft dough forms. Return to the heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the dough comes away from the sides of the pan.
- Let the dough cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan to 180°C (350°F).
- Pour the dough into a pastry bag with a curly nozzle and form strips of churros, frying them until golden and crispy.
- Drain on absorbent paper.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a deep plate and immediately coat the churros.
- For the chocolate sauce, heat the milk with the sugar and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and add the chocolate, stirring until completely melted and smooth.
- Serve the churros hot with the hot chocolate sauce.
