- 500 g flour 000 or 0000
- 350 ml warm water
- 10 g sal
- 7 g dry yeast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Extra olive oil for the surface
- Rosemary or oregano to taste
- Coarse or flake salt
- Optional: cherry tomatoes, olives
How to prepare it step by step?
Preparation
- Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl.
- In another container, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar, and let it foam for 10 minutes.
- Incorporate the yeast mixture into the flour and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- Knead gently or mix with a spoon until you obtain a sticky but uniform dough.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Oil a plate or dish, turn out the dough, and stretch it without degassing too much.
- Let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Make dimples with your fingers, cover with plenty of olive oil, rosemary or oregano, and coarse salt.
- Add cherry tomatoes or olives if you want more flavor.
- Bake at 200°C for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove, let cool for a few minutes, and cut.
- Serve warm or cold; it remains perfect for up to 3 days.
